What changed

The release notes shown in the app. Updates are free on every plan.

v2.28.0

  • Delta:
    • Your Own Laps, Any Game: Delta now works from the laps the app records while you drive, in any supported game, including out, in and invalid laps, which are marked as such.
    • ★ References Shared with the HUD: Set a ★ reference lap for a car on a track (or use a class-mate’s lap) and both Delta and the in-game lap delta compare against it.
    • Fastest Lap by Default: Comparisons start against the fastest lap for your class, and you can pick any other lap instead.
    • Browse by Game, Class and Car: Game tabs, a laps table per session, and clicking a class lists its cars. A breadcrumb takes you back to all sessions.
    • Track Map: A zoomable map draws each lap’s line and shows where every car is at the cursor, following it as you scroll through the telemetry.
    • Zones: Corners are now shown as zones, with the time gained or lost in each, and each lap’s turn-in point and time spent trail braking.
    • Cleaner Lap Lists: Partial laps and laps far faster than possible for the car are no longer counted as valid laps.
    • Import LMU Recordings: Import LMU’s own telemetry recordings into Delta in one click, with progress shown, or open one from Telemetry Logs.
    • Removed: Setup export from recordings, and ★ picks made in the old Delta page, aren’t carried over.
  • HUD Lap Delta: “Automatic” now uses your ★ reference for the car and track when you’ve set one, otherwise the fastest lap for the class. The old “Studio baseline” option is now part of Automatic.
  • AC EVO: More cars and tracks are recognised by name, and laps set before a car or track was recognised are matched to it.
  • LMU Connection: The app now reads LMU through a single connection shared by every feature, and lets go of it as soon as the game closes.
  • Spotter:
    • Local Yellows and Blue Flags: Cars in the final sector now show local yellow flags, and blue flags shown to a car now appear in the spotting table and Director.
    • Headlights: The headlights indicator now shows whether a car’s lights are actually on.
    • Live Vehicle List: The replay’s live vehicle list now shows exactly the cars in the session.

v2.27.0

  • TV Director & Spotter:
    • Director Button: Added a labelled Director button to the Spotter toolbar with an on/off status light, and options to show the Director in a side panel or pop it out to its own window.
    • Commentator Card: The on-air card now explains why the camera cut to a car, including the rival, the gap and whether it is closing, and shows the car’s stint, tyres, energy, stops, penalties, places gained, class gaps, lap times and who is up next.
    • Smarter Camera Cuts: The Director now cuts away for crashes, spins and penalties mid-shot, uses a wider mix of camera angles, no longer stays on one close battle for laps, and can show pit entries and stops.
    • Race Start Sequence: The start sequence now runs once per race, ends when the last class leader crosses the first sector line on the opening lap, and no longer starts under a full-course yellow or safety car.
    • Better Story Picks: Purple laps are judged within each class, cars dropping places after a spin are followed as recovery drives, and the closing minutes of timed races get extra attention.
    • Team Spotter: Hazard look-ahead and look-behind, spin cuts and mid-shot interrupts now take effect, and a hint appears until a team car is selected.
    • Clearer Settings: Presets now also apply their camera set and event triggers, setting labels describe what each option does, and the Director is now easier to find and switch on.
    • Pop-Out Windows: Popping out the Spotter now moves it to the new window instead of running it twice, and pop-out windows now show notifications.
    • Session Transitions: Fixed an issue where the Spotter page, live timing board, and TV Director could stall or freeze during session changes and restarts. Driver standings, lap tracking, and automatic camera cuts now refresh seamlessly as soon as the new session begins.
    • Fixes: Opening a pop-out no longer switches the Director off, clicking a car no longer forces the trackside camera, camera buttons pick the right camera when the Director is off, and the connection light now shows whether the game is sending data.
  • Application Updates:
    • Update Button: Resolved an issue where clicking the update button in application settings could become unresponsive while checking for updates.
  • Sessions & Replay:
    • Launch Controls: Removed redundant game launch buttons from the sessions page header to provide a cleaner layout.
  • App Manager:
    • Action Menu Cleanup: Streamlined application context menus by removing redundant toggle switches that are already accessible directly on app cards.
  • Car Setups:
    • Unified Import Action: Combined individual setup and archive import actions into a single Import button supporting both file types.
    • Import Dialog Safeguard: Prevented the setup import review dialog from appearing when cancelling or closing the system file picker without selecting files.
    • Drag & Drop Quick Indicator: Added a visual drag-and-drop indicator pill showing that setup files and archives can be dropped directly onto the app.
  • HUD Improvements:
    • Car Artwork: The car widget now draws GT3 and LMDh top-down artwork, tinted per part for damage, tyres, suspension, engine and aero.
    • Import Previews & Presets: Dropping a HUD file now shows a preview and the settings it will change before importing, and widget presets are available.
    • Send to Display: In edit mode, buttons beside each widget move it to another monitor.
    • Shorter Share Strings: Shared profiles and reference laps now produce much shorter text strings.
    • Fuel Calculator: Now tracks virtual energy as well as fuel.
  • Custom HUD Widgets:
    • Build Your Own Widgets: Create widgets of your own from live values such as speed, gear, fuel, lap delta and fuel per lap, and place, show, hide and share them like any other widget.
    • Widget Builder: Design widgets in their own window with values, bars, warning lights, graphs, text and panels, with zoom, a snap grid, alignment guides, multi-select, align and distribute tools, and undo.
    • Data Tiles: Start from a grid of live values with colour warnings above or below a threshold, then switch to a free layout to rearrange it.
    • More Visibility Rules: Widgets can now also be shown or hidden by the lap delta, fuel per lap or laps of fuel left.
    • Sharper Previews: Widget previews stay crisp at every zoom level and load faster.
    • Studio and Builder Stay in Step: Changes made in one window now show in the other right away, without overwriting each other.

v2.26.0

  • In-Game HUD Overlay & HUD Studio:
    • One HUD Studio Page: The Overlay page is now a single studio listing every widget, with an inspector for its placement, opacity, size, visibility rules and settings, resizable columns, and overlay-wide settings behind a cog.
    • GPU Renderer by Default: The overlay now draws with the GPU on every monitor, with per-monitor widget placement and an automatic fallback to the classic renderer.
    • In-Game Editing: Unlock the HUD to drag and resize widgets directly in the game, snap them to a grid with highlighted centre lines, nudge the selected widget with the arrow keys, and switch widgets on or off from the in-game toolbox.
    • New Widgets: Added a Timing Tower, Fuel Calculator and Blind-Spot Radar. The radar now updates about ten times faster, shows a range circle, colours cars by class and marks cars closing in.
    • Redesigned Car Widget: Clear corner cards with tyre temperatures across the tread, wear, pressure and brake temperatures around a top-down view of the car and its damage.
    • ABS, TC & Lock-Up Indicators: The dash lights up when ABS or traction control intervenes and when a wheel locks, and the live telemetry graph marks these moments.
    • Reference Lap Everywhere: The lap delta now compares against the fastest lap for your track and class automatically (including recorded and imported laps), and the dash and telemetry graph can show the reference lap’s speed, pedals and gear.
    • Track Map: Every car shows its position in class, and your own car is highlighted with a halo.
    • Smart Visibility Rules: Hide or show widgets by speed, nearby cars, pit lane, session type or custom conditions (pedals, gear, fuel, lap progress and more), with sensible defaults for each widget.
    • Profiles: Create, rename, duplicate and delete HUD profiles per car or class, with automatic switching for the car you drive.
    • Sharing: Share profiles, single widgets and reference laps as a copyable text string or a file, and import them by pasting or dropping the file on the app.
    • Test HUD: Preview every widget with looping sample data, without driving.
    • Stability: Fixed a case where the overlay could crash Le Mans Ultimate while switching widgets on from the menus.
  • Interactive Calendar Views & Activity Tracking:
    • Unified Calendar Journal: Added dedicated calendar views to Race Analysis, Session History, MoTeC Telemetry Logs, Replay Tool, and Delta Telemetry, allowing drivers to browse past sessions, logs, and telemetry by date.
    • Driving Consistency & Activity Heatmap: Added a 6-month visual seat time heatmap tracking daily session volume and driving frequency, with instant date-filtering into session analysis.
    • Dashboard Form & Consistency Widget: Added a collapsible driving consistency panel on the dashboard featuring the 6-month activity heatmap, 5-race recent finish streak badges, and quick access to Race Analysis.
    • Championship Season Calendar: Added an interactive season schedule timeline for championships, displaying round progression, completion status, and quick links to race results.
  • Replay Control & Endurance Telemetry:
    • Endurance Stint Timeline: Added an interactive, color-coded stint timeline for endurance replays, enabling drivers to inspect stint lengths and jump replay playback directly to any stint.
    • Team Roster Driver Drill-Down: Expanded multi-driver endurance team cards with driver drill-down panels displaying individual stint counts, fastest lap times, and incident summaries.
    • In-Game Session Mismatch Detection: Added automatic detection when Le Mans Ultimate is actively running a different circuit or replay session, displaying a notification banner with one-click switching to the selected replay.
    • Opening Cinematic Launch Protection: Pauses replay staging while the simulator plays opening splash videos, prompting drivers to dismiss the intro and confirm arrival at the Main Menu before loading playback.
    • Lap Timing Offset Correction: Resolved a lap start timing calculation offset in replay telemetry to ensure precise lap and sector start times.
    • Replay Controller Interface Polish: Refreshed the replay control interface with session status badges, grouped playback controls, podium highlights, and severity-coded incident borders.

v2.25.32

  • Dashboard Command Center & Quick Launch:
    • Dynamic Practice Quick Launch: Added a dedicated Quick Launch action to the dashboard header, allowing drivers to immediately stage practice sessions with customizable circuit and car selection.
    • Live Simulator Status: Added a real-time simulator connection indicator in the header, complete with quick shortcut jumps to Live Spotter and Delta Telemetry when on track.
    • Modern 2-Column Bento Layout: Reorganized the dashboard on desktop displays with an action-focused primary workspace alongside a dedicated utility shelf for Quick Links and Library documents.
    • Expanded Workspace Modules: Expanded the core tools grid to 12 balanced modules, integrating direct access to Result Analysis, Replay Tool, Championships, and Toolbox utilities.
    • Recent Form & Session Polish: Added a 5-race recent form streak indicator to Career Record, national flags for recent circuits, and relative session timestamps.
  • Player Statistics & Progression:
    • Class Progression Deep-Linking: Drivers can now click any class skill rating card on the dashboard to jump directly into detailed skill progression charts and benchmark comparisons for that car class.

v2.25.31

  • App Manager Performance & Responsiveness:
    • Instant Page Loading: Optimized initial load times and eliminated UI delays when opening the App Manager, providing immediate access to managed applications.
    • Smoother Navigation: Resolved visual layout flickering and prevented temporary disabled notices from appearing during initial startup.
  • Setup Import & Track Matching Improvements:
    • Faster Bulk Processing: Optimized track detection performance when importing large setup archives, eliminating UI freezing and dramatically speeding up batch processing.
    • Smarter Circuit Matching: Improved track folder resolution across naming variations (such as Spa vs. Spa-Francorchamps or Daytona vs. Daytona RC) to accurately map setups to the correct circuit.

v2.25.30

  • Reference Lap Times Benchmark Quick Launch & Vehicle Selection:
    • Circuit Paul Ricard (1A / 1A-V2) Canonical Resolution: Resolved alphanumeric track layout ambiguity where Paul Ricard’s official 1A-V2 Grand Prix layout was discovered as an orphan circuit named “1A” sorting ahead of Bahrain. Canonicalized across track fallback catalogs, dynamic resolver, and context cache migration so it displays as Paul Ricard with layout badge 1A-V2 and correctly sorts under “P”.
    • Table Layout Streamlining: Removed the redundant “Cars” column, optimizing horizontal table space and cleanly separating circuit navigation from session launch actions.
    • Esports Benchmark Quick Launch Orchestration: Added 1-click Launch action to both the main Reference Lap Times table and Car Detail matrix. Automatically configures optimal esports benchmark conditions matching GoSetups telemetry standards: Clear skies, Heavy RealRoad rubbered grip, dry track surface, 14:00 daytime lighting, and solo practice format.
    • Interactive Vehicle Selection (Class Filters + Car Dropdown): When launching from a circuit row on the main table, players can select any vehicle via interactive class filter pills (All, LMH, LMP2, LMP2e, LMP3, GTE, GT3) and a rich car model dropdown displaying class color dots, car names, class badges, and benchmark lap times (sorted fastest first). If a class filter is already active in the table, it automatically pre-selects that class and its fastest benchmark car. When launching from an individual car row inside a track, car selection is bypassed to launch immediately with that chosen car.

v2.25.29

  • Le Mans Ultimate Cold Launch Interactive Main Menu Confirmation Gate:
    • Interactive Main Menu Confirmation Gate: Resolved an issue where cold launch orchestration sent REST API staging commands while LMU was playing the opening cinematic video and displaying the intro splash screen. Because LMU’s internal REST API binds early and reports NAV_MAIN_MENU before UI actors and the vehicle subsystem are loaded, sending commands prematurely caused commands to fail (Cube error: Could not find actor VEHICLE).
    • Opening Cinematic Action Prompt: Cold launch now monitors until LMU’s REST API is responsive, then cleanly pauses and displays an eye-catching Action Required in Le Mans Ultimate prompt card instructing the player to switch to LMU, skip or dismiss the intro video (via Esc/Space or controller button), and enter the Main Menu.
    • Explicit Deployment Confirmation: Provides a prominent “I’m at the Main Menu — Deploy Weekend Now” button in both the live stepper card and dialog footer. When clicked, DLT-Simtools dispatches the full 7-step REST API staging pipeline in memory, loading directly into the 3D track environment without UI race conditions.
    • Mid-Startup & Hot Launch Resilience: Supports games in mid-startup (StartingUp) with the same interactive confirmation gate, while preserving instant 1-click deployment for hot launch when LMU is already at the Main Menu.

v2.25.28

  • Le Mans Ultimate Cold Launch Orchestration & Startup Crash Fix:
    • Game Startup Crash Fix (Fatal Error 11 in plrfile.cpp): Resolved an immediate simulator crash on boot caused by disk-patching UserData/player/Settings.JSON with unrecognized non-standard schema keys (ClassesSelection) and mismatched numeric types for FullGrid. Completely eliminated hazardous disk modifications in favor of pure in-memory staging via LMU’s REST API. Automatically repairs existing corrupted user config files on launch.
    • Automated Cold Launch Orchestration: When launching from a cold state (game closed), DLT-Simtools boots LMU cleanly via Steam (steam://run/2399420) and actively tracks startup through a StartingUp connection state. Removed aggressive session-exit polling during boot to prevent game engine disruption. The instant the Main Menu is reached (atMainMenu), DLT-Simtools automatically dispatches the full 7-step REST API staging pipeline directly into the 3D track environment without manual menu navigation.
    • Single-Class Grid Filtering Fix: Resolved an issue where sessions with “Multi-Class Grid” disabled still spawned mixed grids. Rebuilds preset["Grid"] strictly from vehicles matching the player’s selected car class (LMGT3, Hypercar, LMP2, or GTE), excluding player duplicates, and locks ClassesSelection with FullGrid: false in the REST API preset to guarantee 0% mixed-class leakage.
    • Cancellable Launch Polling & Abort Support: Enhanced the interactive launch dialog with full cancellation support and abort signals, allowing players to abort startup polling cleanly at any time without process hangs.
  • Reference Lap Times Benchmark Synchronization & Personal Best Matching:
    • Clean Cache & First-Launch Benchmark Sync: Resolved an issue where initial startup sync timers were cancelled during early component re-renders while marking sync as completed, preventing benchmark downloads on clean cache. Fallback data is no longer erroneously treated as fresh live cache without verified multi-source live sync timestamps.
    • Release Build Manual Sync & Live Status: Added a universal, release-ready “Sync Benchmarks” button and live relative timestamp badge to the Lap Times header, enabling manual refreshes and automatic initial sync in production builds without developer mode.
    • Canonical Car Model & Livery Matching: Integrated canonical car model resolution (resolveCarModel) across benchmark indexing and comparison views, ensuring player laps recorded under team or livery entries (e.g., Manthey EMA, Iron Dames, Team WRT) seamlessly match reference benchmark models.
    • Class Aliasing & Decoupled Personal Bests: Expanded class aliasing to cover LMP2/LMP2_ELMS, GTE, and LMP3. Decoupled player personal best display from external benchmark presence, guaranteeing player records and recorded tracks are always visible with dedicated PB badges and synthesized user car entries.
    • Auto-Sync on Network Reconnection: Added automatic sync retry listeners that detect network restoration and trigger background benchmark sync if the local cache has never completed a live sync.
